    hey guys

we have shot a scene of a lit lightglobe swinging in a darkened room. I have been asked to create more of a light trail as it swings past the camera.

the final grade will be black and white, so matching the colour isn’t a problem.

any ideas. we have trapcodes particular if it helps.

    thanks
    Chris

    Hi Chris,
Take a look in the Trapcode Gallery (https://www.trapcode.com/gallery.html). There’s a clip by Jason Koxvold that may give you some ideas. You could also try the Time effects such as Echo, Wide Time etc. That may be a better way to go…

    cheers,

    JD

If using echo doesn’t work out for you.
Try doing a motion track on the light-bulb, and use the resulting position as an effect-point for the Write-On effect.
Combine that with some glow and let it fade away in time.
