Need To Add A 3rd Monitor! ..Any Suggestions, How & What I Need To Add Up In My System?

I need your help…
I have a PPCS5.5 system with 2 PC monitors (DVI) on a GTX480 GPU.
I need to add up a 3rd monitor (27″ HDTV), mostly to be able to check how the final result will look out on a big TV, but also to broaden my desktop’s real estate..
I have an older GPU, lying arround and was wondering if it would work, giving me a third monitor output, if I plugged it on my MOBO, while keep using my GTX480 as my primary GPU with full advantage of all CUDA cores with the MPE.
The older GPU is an NVIDIA GeForce 7800… I have a concern if the installed drivers of the GTX480 would conflict with this older GPU
and that if I install it’s own drivers, that the newer & older drivers will conflict with each other… (I think it’s not even possible, to install both drivers for both GPUs. I remember when I purchased the GTX480, the setup wizard asked to uninstall the older drivers, before completing with installation)
Any suggestions here please.. I would like to here about similar experiences before begin the testing phase (which is not always safe)..Thank you in advance.

You need a cheap grafics card that runs under the same driver as the 480.

If you’re looking to add a third monitor as a reference monitor, consider getting a real video card. That will let you monitor accurate color with frame accuracy and you won’t have to worry about drivers or graphics cards. It will be dedicated for editing but it will be what you need. AJA makes some great stuff that you may want to check out.

The thing is that if I can do my job with what I already have, without spending any more cash, I would prefer that option.. 🙂
On the NVIDIA website, it says something like, that the GTX480 drivers that I have installed (GEFORCE 285.62 DRIVER), support also the GeForce 7 series…

And even if it is a 7 series GPU, has anyone tested this theoretical combination with thiose exact GPUs or even with some other ones..?
Theoretically, if the drivers don’t conflict, it will have to work, right..? I mean, giving me a third monitor output, without interffering with the primary GPU and how it is used by PP’s MPE..Alex Karmios

..getting a real video card, would be actually the next step,
but this one will cost me a lot and at the moment I only have the 300 euros cashflow, to spend for the 32″ HDTV, which I want to add and use as a reference monitor… and I really need to that like ASAP!
I know, it’s not the best way to go (with the second-older GPU),
but at least I will have an idea of what the end-user sees in his screen (colorwise & tonalwise), when I deliver my edit..
If of course, the two GPUs don’t conflict with each other..Alex Karmios
