    Well hello!

This is my first post here and I look foreward to any help I may get in learning my new program. (I have Sony Vegas 4)
Well I edited about a 5 minute film and it rendered at 1.16 GB…I just like to make short video’s for my friends but something this size is not uploadable via sites like ‘putfile’,’Rapidshare’ etc. How can I make the video render at say 50mb insead of a jawdropping 1.16MB???
Also I was wondering how I can do picture zooming. Add a picture and zoom and or pan in on a point. I hope I posted in the right section etc…if not I apologize.

I look foreward to some advice from the pro’s here.

    -Andrew-

Tried many…Vegas is the hands down best.

Sounds like you rendered as DV avi, which is the right format for going back out to tape, but not for internet use.

To make a smaller file, Render As has a drop down choice of about a dozen formats – try WMV, which itself has a drop down list of Templates – maybe start with 250 kbps and see how the file size/quality turns out.

To zoom in and around an event, click on the Pan/Crop icon – white square on the timeline event – and watch the preview as you play with the rectangle. (Making the rectangle smaller zooms IN, then drag to selected part of the frame. These zooms and pans can be keyframed so you can move around the viseo or still pic.
