    Hey all,

I have to do a metric ton of spots next week for a cable company. each of those spots has different versions that will need to be done for different regions that use different equipment. Part of the spots need me to highlight buttons on a remote in different sequences for different spots, then I have to go and do that *same sequence* on a different remote for a different version.

I’ve gone through and made a comp for each of the 4 remotes, and for each button on the remote there is a small solid that has a mask on it that makes the highlight. there’s PAUSE, PLAY, REWIND and so on … is there anyway that I can set the keys for highlighting the buttons on the remotet ONCE and then easily apply that do all the versioned spots, but have them be live links so if i need to make a change in the timing, it applies to them all?

I’m guessing expression sliders on a null that I’d reference in each comp, but if that has to be setup discreetly for each comp i’m not so sure that it’ll save as much time as i’m looking to save.

I’m hoping i’m over complicating things and there’s some easy solution out there 🙂

    Thanks!

I just set up a template comp for each remote, and since I hadn’t started putting spots together yet, I’ll just duplicated the template with the expressions already all setup.
