    Hi,

I am working on the title animation sequence of a film. After rendering the sequence to quicktime, it comes to be a 9GB file.

The file is too large for the computer to handle and playback in quicktime stutters.

BUT, when I open after effects, import the (stutter-y) quicktime file and RAM preview, it plays smoothly. Although, the RAM preview also appears to only be able to handle 7 seconds.

When I import the quicktime into Final Cut, it stutters and claims drop frames. It doesn’t require rendering in Final Cut either, though I tried.

I need the animation sequence to play normally in final cut so it can be integrated with the rest of the film. So my question is, do I just trust that in the final rendering (putting back to tape or burning to a dvd) that it will play smoothly? Or do I need to be able to see it play smoothly in final cut.

I don’t really have time to re-render out of after effects (unless absolutely necessary).

It’s just weird that it would be fine in ram preview of after effects (albeit for only a short clip before it stops) and no where else.

I need this today, so any response asap would be helpful. Thank you!!!!
