  • Need recommendation on portable audio mixer

I work with a Panasonic HVX-200 and have gotten by fine with the xlr inputs, but now find myself needing three or four. Can someone recommend a good, portable audio mixer with 4 ins/2outs & a possible digital record option for four tracks?

I work with musicians and need distinct voice and instrument tracks, so would like to maintain the integrity of each individual track if possible.

    Thanks!

Check out the Sound Devices 442 mixer. They also offer digital recorders.

Hello Amy and welcome to the Cow Audio Forum,

    John’s spot on. I own a 442 and a 744T. The only thing cooler is a 788T and a CL-8.

Probably not as great – but I wound up with the Sound Devices 302 and the Edirol R-44 recorder.
