    Hello Everyone,
I have about 100 video clips on the timeline that I need to put a one second freeze on at the start of the clip. Normally I use the velocity envelope for this and do each clip separately. Is there an easier or faster way for me to do this? I’m using Vegas 7 or 9.

    Thanks
    Dave P.

You could write a specific script. Otherwise maybe this:

Place a marker at the beginning of each event. Do thi smanually or Ultimate-S can do this. Then run the ThumbnailAtMarker.js script found here: https://library.creativecow.net/articles/vegas_scripts.html

Then insert each thumbnail at the beginning of each event. A bit labor intensive, but not so bad with the help of the scripts.

Use Copy + Paste Event Attributes technique. Add Velocity to the first event, create a 1 sec freeze then copy event (Edit > Copy). Select all the rest events and apply Edit > Paste Event Attributes.
    Hope this helps.

Thanks Aleksey–that’s exactly what I did and it worked great. Saved me lots of time 🙂

    Thanks
