Hi Need help with sony vegas pro. I need the keyboard shortcut to create space between two events after pressing the keyboard shortcut “S”. Right now i am using mouse but its taking a lot of time.

This is to cut a movie into pieces and understand how shots are arranged.

Off the top of my head I do not know of any keyboard shortcut that adds space. I have, however, added what you needed to my Vegas Black Tools extension. I originally had these options that all can be assigned shortcut keys

    Split Delete Left
    Split Delete Ripple Left
    Split Delete Right
    Split Delete Ripple Right

After reading your post I added

    Split Add Space
    Split Add Space Ripple

Send me an email to blackstingproductions@gmail.com if you are still in need of this help and will give you the Black Tools extension.

Set a custom keyboard key (under Options dropdown>Customize Keyboard)

In the search box type Trackview.Nudge.RightByFrames,
In the Middle box Select Trackview.Nudge.RightByFrames
In the bottom box type whatever key you want to use to create your space ( I use Trackpad 9 for Right and Trackpad 7 for Left but it’s whatever works for you)
    Click the add button.

Now you can use that button on your keyboard to move your clip one frame at a time. Or press it as many times as you need to depending on how big of a space you need (30 frames = 1 second). Use the autoripple (Ctrl +L) to nudge the entire rest of the project if you need to.

    I hope that helps. DavidEon
