Need help with strange firewire problem
Today our DV5000 would not connect via firewire to our edit computer. The computer acts as if the camera isn’t even connected. Using the same computer, cable, port, et I can connect any other camera/deck I have. Using the same cable, the DV5000 also connects to my other camera/decks and also to another computer with same OS. So it is strictly something between the DV5000 and our edit computer. Nothing new has been installed or changed. Already did a system restore. After a couple of hours troubleshooting I’m out of ideas. Anyone had this happen before?

Were are PC on Adobe CS3, but I don’t think this is an Adobe issue since the computer itself will not recoginze the connection even before any software is launched.
