Need help with scrolling text!
According to Gary Kleiners Vegas 6 Companion (which is great BTW) you can cut and paste a long list of names into the scrolling text effect. I have a list of players on a football team (about 70) that I want to scroll at the end of a project. I have the scroll on tansparent background on the timeline and the work page opened. I have the list in a .txt file (made with notepad). I highlight all the names, click copy, take the curser to the scroll worksheet and click paste. All I get is the first name. I think I am following Garys example exactly but I get this result instead. What could I be doing wrong?

You were correct. I was not clicking in the right place. Now if I could only get columns to line up in the scroll.

A trick that I use is to use the two-column line for my actor’s names and in the text file list them as: “Firstname Middlename [tab] Lastname”. In the style properties, set the left column to be right justified and the right column to be left justified. Adjust the center width to an em space (about .15).
The result is that the names are centered on the space between the first and last names.
