    Hi all,

I have an HDV project which I finished and mastered last week. I am now trying to render out the edit (commercial half) so I can do DVD and web versions. I have done this throughout for sending to the client so I know it should work. However, everytime I have rendered the project out it falls over. I have narrowed it down to the credits. (These were created in AE as a QT animation and dropped into the HDV timeline.)

I am taking my HDV timeline and using export>quicktime movie…> KONA DV. When the render reaches the credits I get “general error!”

The only thing I have changed is to update the latest proapps update from apple. The drives have enough space, I have re-rendered the credits and re-imported them but no joy. The credits movie plays ok on its own within FCP. and it is only the credits, the rest of the sequence has rendered fine.

Can anyone make a suggestion? I’m pooped.

Before to try any other thing. Save your movie with other name and try to render.

I’ve had trouble with AE animations in HDV sequences for FCP. You might try the following:

-Open your Credits quicktime movie in quicktime.
-Export it to a different file with the same settings
    -Reimport it into FCP

There’s some problem with AE HDV exports…but this might solve your problem.

If all else fails just capture form the tape master you just made.
