    I’ve got a 4 second logo fly-in with a separate moving matte.
This was created on the Flame.
    Here’s what I’ve done:
    – studio on V1
    – logo fly-in on V2
    – drag the Image Mask filter over logo fly-in clip on V2
    – double click on the V2 clip to get it to the viewer.
    – In the image mask filter, drag the matte clip into the
    mask box.

The result is, the key is fine, but the matte does not
move with the fly-in. If I look at it frame by frame,
the matte is just a still frame of the first frame of
my matte. How do I get the matte to move with the
    video on V2?

(I’ve done the above with the Difference Matte filter as well
    with the same results)

    Thanks,
    Dan

Figured it out. I put the fly-in clip on V2, the matte on V3. dropped the
extract filter on both and adjusted from there. Looks fine.
Is this they way you all do it?

No, I’d have the matte on V2, the fill for the matte on V3 (the logo). Select the V3 clip and choose Modify>Composite Modes>Travel Matte Luma (better to use alpha if there is an alpha channel).

Check out my book, my good man. 😉
