  • Need help with layer styles

    Hello all,
I know how to make layer-styles presets, but what I can’t figure out is to how to use my own pictures to make LAYER-STYLES for TEXT.

I was able to download a handful of these ( text layer-styles ) and there were some nice pics used in the creation of these. But as I said, I don’t know how to use my own backgrounds to create these
    TEXT STYLES.

    Would appreciate any help.
    Thanks from Harry

There’s a lot to your question (as well as details missing)

I cover layer styles extensively in the book Understanding Adobe Photoshop

You can also see them in the Creative Cow Photoshop for Video podcast and the Understanding Adobe Photoshop podcast.
