Need help with intensity pro. Maybe a hardware conflict
I’ve been trying to install Intensity pro into my desktop.
When I boot into windows XP, it recognize the new card but it can no longer see the DVD drive.
All the drives show up fine in the BIOS screen. And the DVD drive will be back to work normally if I remove the intensity pro card.Can this possibly be some kind of hardware conflict? I’m really cluseless here about how to set the ports and stuff to fix this problem.
Any help appreciate.I don’t know much about the slots names. But I believe in my desktop I have
– 2 SATA hard drives which show up fine.
– wireless LAN in PCIe ? I think
– ATI 4500, don’t know the slot name.
– LG DVD-R IDE -

What is your motherboard? I´ve a problem like that, and was my old motherbord.
In my case I need change my motherboard for a new one. At Blackmagic site they show a compatible motherboard cards. -
Thanks pablo. My motherboard is a Gigabye S-series EP45-DS3.
Looks like its listed as one of the recommended motherboards. 🙁I just found out a couple more problems. Not only the DVD drive but all the USB are not working either when the intensity card is plugged. All work fine when I unplug the card. Some friends suspect that my power supply is not having enough power but I don’t really know how to test this except to get a new power supply.
Intensity is giving me a black blank screen when playing back with media express.
On Media Player Classic, I get an option to “Open Devices” and I can pick “decklink Video Capture” for the Video. This also plays a blank black screen.
I tried both above with HDMI input from PS3. It’s set to 480p.
I followed some other thread to control panel > Blackmagic Control Panel, all options are available, nothing greyed out.
Still no luck so far

I’m using a EP45C-DS3 with no problems, I use a IDE DVD drive also, quad core processor, 8gigs of ram, nvidia 9600gt video, 750w PS, I run a GV HDSpark hdmi out card plus the intensity pro, with win7 pro64, in the past I’ve run the intensity with XP pro by itself
