  • Need help with end action/overide, I think…

    Okay,
I have a timeline(a) that is the firstplay, when it is done(end action)
I have it go to another timeline(b). However, I’d like to have a button
on a menu that plays timeline(a) and then returns to the menu.

The only solution that I’ve come up with is two timelines with the same
movie, but different end actions. Space is not an issue on the DVD, but
I am wondering if there is a more glamorous, less of a space waste
    for this issue.

    Thanks for any ideas.

All you need to do is set the Override value of the button to return to the menu. No need for multiple copies of the same timeline.

More info on the wonder of overrides at:

    Tim,
Thanks for the help with this. I thought I had it
set up this way, but apparently not. I’ll go and test
    it again.
Thanks for the link to adobe evangelists. It is so
much fun to learn and see what others have done. 🙂

I see from your bio that you live in Beaverton. I
went to school at OSU. Hopefully you wear the Orange
and Black, not that Green and Yellow… 🙂

    Thanks again for the help.

    RoadKill,
Wow… Thanks for the links. I’ve scene the Wrigley ones
(had to get some help with Premier). The Doogs Tutorials
are pretty cool, I’m going to have to spend some time
    at this site.

Thanks for taking the time to share the links. 🙂

    David,
Thanks for the warning. I just ran into the issue
and thought that I had copied the wrong link. I guess
I’ll have to wait until tomorrow. 🙁

    Hey Mark-

My colors are blue and gold, those of Oregon Tech. Since the Owls sit pretty far down on the intercollegiate sports ladder, though, you’ll find me rooting for rodents more often than water fowl. I have to, my mother is an OSU grad. 😉 (But truth be told, and please don’t start throwing potato salad at me, I’ll root in the War for whoever has a better chance of going to a big bowl. State over school, I say.)

    Tim,
Well I can definitely agree with the fact that you have to
cheer on your alma mater first and foremost, I’m glad to her that you cheer on the Beavs more than the Ducks. It just goes to show you that Mom’s know best.

While I can understand your logic for the Civil War,
I have to respectively disagree with it. If there is
one game to win in the season, yup, regardless of bowl
implications it’s the Civil War… Being an OSU grad I’d
    say I’m a little biased. 🙂

Thanks for the help with the overrides… The project is
finished and I’m off to learn more.

    Mark
