Need Help Please with Audio Peaking
I’m editing a video where there was a band and everytime the video would go towards the band I’m getting crackling. Anyway to scrub this or is the sound toast? Tried sound soap but it just sounds worse.

If you shot on a digital format and you exceeded the headroom of your digital audio tracks – yes, you’re toast.

For next time.
Tell your sound person to use -18dB as their ‘zero’.
Record sound on both channels but set one channel 6db lower.
Get a line out of the PA…
