i am trying to make a great quicktime to take a project home to put on my demo reel.

i am using Avid quicktime reference and tehn using soreson squeeze to compress it to quicktime. but no matter waht the quicktime comes out bad.

anyone know what i need to do to get a lossless version of my avid project?

Is there a reason you do not simply make the QT straight out of the Avid?

When you go to Export, go into settings and select Quicktime instead of QT Ref. Specify the pixel size by selecting custom rather than using the standard Avid DV codec, and you are on your way.

If your home system has the Avid Codec, your best bet is to export the QuickTime Movie “Same as Source”. This way there is no addition encode step.
