Need help for figuring out how to open media originally from P2 card, now on external drive.
I shot some footage on the Panasonic HVX-2oo with the P2 card. I transferred the footage that had been stored on a Lap Top with FCP 5 onto an external hard drive, thinking that I would be able to open the footage when I acquired FCP 5. I was wrong however, I can’t find a way to import this footage. Will someone please tell me how I can bring this media into FCP 5, now that it is stored on a drive and no longer available from P2 card?
Any thoughts would be extremely helpful.

FCP 5 will not work. You need minimally the 5.04. Then assuming that you maintained the Contents folder and the last clip file, all you need to do is go to Import/ Panasonic P2, use the navigational buttons and point it to the card file. From there it should show up.
Make sure you have your project set to the right format, etc. Should work just fine.
