  • NEED HELP FAST!! Importing stills into FCP 6

    Hello everyone,

I have tried searching for a bit, but time is of the absolute essence. I am down to the wire on a project, and need to do some finishing things.

What I need to do is to import still images (from DSLR) into an HD timeline. I am working in an HDV 1080i60 sequence at 29.97 fps. Here is what I am doing…

    – Import the particular image
    – Everything looks fine in the viewer when I double click on it
    – When I take it to the timeline though and open it in the canvas, it looks like absolute sh**. The color looks fine I suppose, but the image looks incredibly pixelated.
I have tried exporting the video, thinking that it might just be in the canvas, but that didn’t fix anything.

So, it is not a problem with rendering, as some have said where I have searched… It could be a problem with size, but I am not sure.

If anyone knows anything, please post in here or PM me asap. Thank you for your help in advance.

    Cheers,
    Ryan

Do you know the resolution of the pictures? If they are less than HD dimensions (1920×1080), you will be blowing it up alot to match size.

Look at your file info and see if that helps.

Otherwise, photos definitely need to be rendered in the timeline for them to look their best.
