Need help creating sin city effect
Posted by Jcotes on August 16, 2005 at 9:09 pmI have been trying to figure out how to do the effect from Sin city. All black and white And one object in color. I have AF6.5 aswell as Avid. Can someone please help me.

August 17, 2005 at 4:12 amone simple way is to have duplicates of your footage. the bottom one black & white or what ever you desire and the top layer you can key out your unwanted clours using your colour ranges key. you might have to use multiple instances of the plugun….simple

August 18, 2005 at 11:52 amIf you have the Pro version with SA Color Finesse you can do some pretty fancy stuff with colour processing. If you click on the “secondary” tab, you can select a number of colours with the eye dropper. If you check the “invert” button you can then use the sliders to desaturate all the unselected colours. The problem is that this plugin takes a lot of practice to get the best out of it, but I would say it gives the best results.
