    Hello everyone,

I am cutting a demo reel for a client and need to replicate a transition that he saw on an HBO demo reel. The demo reel I was shown was from the sex and the city box set, so hopefully someone has seen it. Otherwise, I will do my best to describe what it looks like.

Basically, this transition looks as if the outgoing frame is part of a film strip. The shot moves rapidly to the right of the screen, basically becoming a blur of frames and then settles onto the next incoming frame. Make any sense?

Hopefully someone out there can help me re-create this look or at least give me an idea how to start trying to create it.

    All the best!

    Anthony

Strangely enough, if I’m not mistaken, there is a very similar tutorial in the printed manual for AE 6.x.

I cant find my old manual but I seem to remember it being in the “nesting compositions” section (or whatever it was called).
