I have been working primarily with SD, but now I have an HD sequence I need to compress for the internet that will eventually be posted to matchedit.com.

For the SD sequences I just use the setting in compressor:

    H.264 800kbps Streaming setting.

When i use this setting with my 720p 59.94 DVCPro HD Sequence, the quicktime comes out squeezed.

Can someone suggest a better setting that maintains my aspect ration?

    thanks,
    tim

    Tim,

Simply edit the output frame size to be of a 16:9 aspect ratio, 640×360, 512×288, 384×216 etc.

This is pretty basic stuff, but if you’re not clear on how to edit the output frame size it would be well worth spend 20 minutes reading through the chapter Creating, Previewing, and Modifying Settings, in the compressor manual.
