  Need help buying LAPTOP for AVID XPRESS PRO PC or Mac?

  i have been searching like crazy for the perfect system for me.
  i own AVID XPRESS PRO soft education edition and won’t be editing HD at the moment but i probably would like to get FINAL CUT PRO to learn how to use it.
  my options have been reduced to this two (for the same price):

  MAC POWERBOOK G4
  2GB PC2-4200 DDR2 – 2x1GB SO-DIMMs
  100GB Ultra ATA drive (7200rpm)
  SuperDrive DL (DVD
