I’m undecided on which video card to use. I’ve read the description and am puzzled. Does the 2 x Nvidia control 2 – 30″ apple displays and which one is right for video editing. I currently edit both DV and HDV and will often have several programs running, such as photoshop. Thanks for the help in advance.

    NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 256MB (single-link DVI/dual-link DVI)
    2 x NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 256MB [Add $150]
    3 x NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 256MB [Add $300]
    ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB (2 x dual-link DVI) [Add $350]
    4 x NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 256MB [Add $450]
    NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 512MB, Stereo 3D (2 x dual-link DVI) [Add $1650]

BTW, the 1650 card is out of the budget.

If you are only concerned about FCP editing then (2) 7300Ts would be fine for dual 30″ cinemas. If you plan to use Motion, I recommend getting the ATI 1900XT even though it’s more money. It will provide a much more interactive experience in Motion.

    Only the ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB (2 x dual-link DVI) [Add $350] and the NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 512MB, Stereo 3D (2 x dual-link DVI) [Add $1650] support 2 – 30″ monitors.

    A Pair of 30s
