Need Help ASAP!!!
I am trying to insert edit a piece of video onto an already mastered tape that I just dubbed. I went from HDCAM SR to HDCAM and want to insert a new slate onto the HDCAM tape. I am using an HDW-D1800 with a Kona 3.
The problem is that instead of inserting the slate, it inserts whatever I have selected on the Kona control panel control setting for “default video output”. Currently it is on color bars and as soon as the video is supposed to insert on the tape, I get color bars from the Kona. If I change it to black, I get back where the video is supposed to be inserted.
I really need to get this tape fixed ASAP because I only have the deck for today and tomorrow and have 20 tapes to dub.
I hope this makes sense, I’ve been at it all day. Please help!!!

Nevermind, called a friend and he calmed me down and reminded me to trash my pref’s when anything weird happens. All is well.
