Need help asap!
I shot 16×9 in standard format and captured my footage in FCP using NTSC settings. When I watch the captured footage in QT it shows up as widescreen but there are lines that show up on the screen when someone moves or the camera moves. I edited it and made the sequence anamorphic. When I output it to a quicktime file, it shows up 4:3 in QT.
I tried capturing a bit of footage in FCP as NTSC anamorphic and it does the same thing with the lines when i watch it back in QT.
How do I get it to not have the lines after capturing it?
How do I edit it in FCP so I can export it and not have it turn up as 4:3 when I watch the quicktime movie?
I’ve edited this entire one hour wedding video and I need to give it to my family members. I hope I don’t have to recapture all the footage, but I will if need be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Watch it on a regular television. The lines are fields which is normal for interlaced footage which is designed to play normally on an interlaced TV.
Or set your Sequence to None for Field dominance and get rid of half of your resolution.

Hi Andrea,
This is normal. QT doesn’t know that the pixels of your clip are Anamorphic. By default QT display all the pixels as Square. Just make sure that when you import your movie to iMovie or DVDSTP it shows up as Anamorphic.
