Need good converting software
Posted by Roli Rivelino on June 5, 2011 at 2:01 pmI’ve just wasted my money getting Any Video Converter Pro, I need to find a converter that converts to editing formats, I would be very grateful for any suggestions.
Many thanks

https://www.sstdigitalmedia.comI have a system, it has stuff in it, and stuff hooked to it. I have a camera, it can record stuff. I read the manuals, and know how to use this stuff and lots of other stuff too.
You should be suitably impressed… -

June 5, 2011 at 4:51 pmCan’t say enough about “Episode” It’s a great compression software. Just about every format.
It amazes me that folks in the biz get by w/o a true quality compression software program.
We use it daily.

June 5, 2011 at 8:14 pmSqueeze works, and it’s always a high quality conversion.
I like Episode Pro too though. It costs more, and I think Sorenson’e Squeeze with a year of Sorenson 360 (included with it) is of great value to a lot of us. 360 is easy to use. Anyone can upload a file to it, and it transcodes it as it goes up… cool. High Quality is maintained. It’s not re-compressed like a free site would be most likely.
I’ve reviewed both here at the COW
https://library.creativecow.net/articles/hofmann_jerry/sorenson360.php.

You need to install Perian (https://www.perian.org). Then you will be able to open the files on QT.

June 6, 2011 at 2:12 pmNo Steve, that wasn’t a new thread that was an original one asking what to convert to.
Then this one is asking what to convert with.
Subtle difference, but still different, I know and respect the rules of this forum.
