  • Need assistance with keyframe tracking..

    Hello!

To make it sweet and short, Is there a way to motion keyframe track an object that is slightly behind another object?

For example, (https://www.staples-3p.com/s7/is/image/Staples/s0334840_sc7?$splssku$) If the items on the desk were being moved around, could I place an image on something that was behind the monitor and the corners of the image would be cut out? Like its really in the world. Normally you try to track it and the keyframe picture is always infront of whatever you’re tracking, but is there a way to make it behind a different object?

    Well, actually; Not quite.

I mean actually having a video where no object is transparent and I would have to move a virtual object through the real objects exactly like that.

Here is another quick version of what I think you are trying to do with a NON Transparent JPG picture

    Hello Marius

Here is the veg file in V14.
    11826_masking.zip

You will notice I have duplicated the original picture of yours to another time line and then Used Pan/Crop window to access the Mask section. The only other thing I did for quickness was to Chroma key out the white around the hand instead of making a png

I expect there are tutorial explaining more about this but it you examine all the timelines Track Motion key frames and the Pan/Crop MASK cut outs you will hopefully see how it works.

    Hope this help…
