  • Need advice with my equipment list for a davinci grading station.

I have been tasked to come up with a list of equipment for a Davinci Grading station, that will also double as a Nuke station.
Budget is low, as always, but I believe we can get a good setup on it.

Going to stick with what is pertinent for Grading:

We already have a control surface.
Space with a client plasma (a little shitty but thats what it will be) and we are painting the walls to an appropriate tone plus making sure we can control the light, if any, coming into the space.

12 core Mac Pro (What should I be getting as a graphics card for the mac pro?)
FSI 2461 (any other suggestion? cannot go higher in price, obviously would love to go lower without sacrificing to much quality, any other good FSI that you recommend or different brand)

Now where I get stuck is my lack of knowledge of AJA and Blackmajic. What is required for this setup?
I know they also want to be able to sometimes correct small projects on a Macbookpro and I read that the ultrastudio3d was an appropriate solution.

Is there a way to have the signal go through one device, or do I need one solution for the MacPro and another for the MacBookPro.

Would really appreciate your advices/suggestions. Specially regarding the BlackMagic/Aja.

    Thank you

Thanks Peter i started looking at it but I was hoping there was one monitoring solution that allowed me to alternate btw macbookpro and Macpro, instead of a seprate monitoring device/board for each
