Need advice on tracking a composited road into a drone shot
Really struggling on this one. Thought it’d be easy! I was wrong.
I need to track a composited road into a drone shot. The drone shot is about 20 feet off the ground and flying forward. I need to it build (or appear) is the camera moves forward. Like it’s appearing from nowhere. It starts offscreen then grows off into the distance. The rub is that it needs to be on top of a windy road, going over rocks and dirt piles. So not just a float surface.
And that is where it gets complicated. How can I make a road “appear” over time on a terrain, growing and winding off into the distance?
I was trying to do it as a 2D composite but began to realize the terrain complicates it.
Anyone have any creative ideas how to deal with this?

I actually figured it out using topographical project mapping and compositing in bushes to simulate some additional depth.
