    Need advice How To Read unknown MXF media

    hello,As Part Being an assitent editor i have bgot a mxf folder with unknown mxf (nd there is no project folder to associate with)

    so is there a way to read the mxf media( is there a mxf viewer?)

    or is there a way inside avid to read it?

    hi Ronen 🙂

    one way is through the media tool. if you select the right drive, media tool will see the files and you can drag them to a bin

    second would be to make a new folder for the files in your MXF folder, put them all in it, let avid scan it… and then i think you need to drag one of the msm files to your bin

    also, there are software that play MXF… i believe mpeg streamclip does… and its free
