April 3, 2013 at 3:16 amSDI capture with, hopefully, SDI passthrough. Will conference with post team tomorrow morning so I’m not sure if I’ll need ProRes or DNxHD, but having the option of both would be great. Need to be common enough to be rentable in LA.
Any suggestions? Atomos Ninja is nice but I don’t want to deal with HDMI to SDI, same vein of product though.
I’d dig into some research myself but I’m juggling other projects as I prep this one.

April 5, 2013 at 5:00 pmHey Angelo,
So the ATOMOS Samurai would be a better bet for you…FastForward has the SIDEKICK, not sure about the DNxHD on that one…and if you have a good budget..the PIX240 from Sound Devices is a solid piece of hardware.
Hope this helps.
