    Need a crisp clear output

    Hi all…

    I have been trying to export this video out of Adobe Premiere pro cs4.

    Its an animated video made in after effects out of which i have rendered the shots (.avi) and edited them in adobe premiere.

    My final export is giving me a lot of loss in quality..its pixellated..non crisp diagonals.. and somehow there is this weird shake in the output video.

    I have tried exporting it in
    DVpal as an avi
    an mpeg2
    a quicktime export with photo-jpeg

    but its still the same.

    How can i maintain the quality of the avi’s which i have exported out of aftereffects ?

    Cant i get the same quality after i re-edit them in premiere ?

    This quality too is much worse than the output of the un-edited shots from aftereffects..

    pls help.

    I need the output for television viewing in Croatia, Europe.Its going to be a music video. Any know-how about the formats there would be helpful too.

    How are you exporting out of AfterEffects? What codec? (AVI is not a codec…). What are your project settings in AfterEffects (pixel size, aspect ratio, and frame rate)?

    Hi jeff,

    I have rendered the videos as

    Video for Windows
    768 X 576
    Pixel aspect ratio D1/DV NTSC (0.91)
    Frame rate 25 fps (in composition)

    Though surprisingly the rendered video properties, windows shows 12 fps.

    Also m really sorry jeff but i cant remember the video codec. it was almost an year back that i made this. Is there any way of finding the codec of a rendered video ?

    Its about 8.38 mb for a 5 second file. Can u judge it by that ?

    Download GSpot, a very handy free utility that will give you all sorts of info about a media file.

    Your problem may stem from compression->re-compression.

    sorry for the late reply…it appears that ‘buggy’ cs4 was givin me a lot of problems..i installed premiere pro2

    worked like a charm..
