So I shot a wall clock at 60p and slowed it down, not even close to how slow I needed it… Each click of the second hand should be about 4-5 seconds in actual time… is there a way to do this in FCP, Motion, etc? I looked for some stock footage of it and it looks like speeding a clock up is the popular choice, not slowing it down…

Why not mask the hands, animate them, and move them as you want?

    Yar.
Pretty easy to build a clock from the parts supplied with Motion. (I’m pretty sure, not at my Motion machine for a few days but I think there are clock parts in there.)
But I don’t understand why your speed adjustment didn’t work. To change a 60 second minute into a 240 or even a 300 second minute is a simple setting.
