    Need a Boom Mic Kit

    Hello,

    I know I’ll get laughed at for this one because sound gear isn’t cheap, but hey,I work for a cheap company and we are in heavy need for a boom mic kit yet can’t spend over $1000. Does anyone know of a kit (mic,pole,mount and screen) for around a $1,000.00. I had stumbled across a kit by Electro Voice, the ENG-618 for about $950. Is this a good unit?
