  • Navigating timeline by typing in timecodes?

Posted by Mel Matsuoka on August 28, 2012 at 11:14 pm

I hope I’m just having a brainfart transitioning to R9, but for the life of me I can’t remember how (if it’s even possible) to navigate to a specific timecode in the timeline by typing it in numerically.

Is this possible in R9? No such enlightenment exists in the manual, that I can find.

[Sascha Haber] “Did you try the big panel ?”

Seems like a rather extravagant solution to an otherwise simple problem, don’t you think?

Yes I would agree that keeping it to the big panel at this point is silly!

I can do it on the JL Cooper Eclipse.

I have an EclipseCX Midnight, and it the numeric keypad does not work for this purpose, at least for me. It does work for keying in and navigating based on shot number, but i cant figure out how to enter specific timecodes with it, which is what i’m looking for in this particular instance.

I’m sorry, I read “navigating” and somehow must have ignored “by timecode”. I can navigate by shot numbers too. Sorry! My mistake.
