Navigating in C4D: 3d mouse, tablet, etc. – Recommendations?

January 31, 2012 at 4:08 pmI have been using C4D for a year now and I was wondering what sort of tools you guys use to navigate in your C4D workspace. Do you use a 3d mouse, do you use a tablet, or do you find a regular ol’ mouse does the trick?
My company has some year-end cash for equipment and supplies; I was wondering if I should try to appropriate some for myself or if it would be better served to buy paper. So, recommendations please! What works best for you?

February 1, 2012 at 5:58 amI use a wacom tablet. And customized the buttons in a way that when i click the bottom one in the pen equals to hitting the number one on my keyboard, the top button is assigned to number three, so i orbit the camera around with this one, number two i just press it on the keyboard since there’s only two buttons available on the pen.
This two shortcuts help me be a lot faster.

I use the tablet for all the fine detail stuff like selecting points painting maps, welding and such.
