May 16, 2005 at 11:04 amMost likely cause is a permissions issue. The plugins need to be read and write enabled for all users on the system who use FCP.
Next cause is that you put the plugins in a folder in your library folder, rather than the main library folder on the root of the computer.

May 17, 2005 at 2:21 pmYou can check permissions in the finder by using the “get info” menu on an icon. The little window that appears tells you all the permissions of the files. You need to make sure that they’re read / write.
You did unstuff the .sit archive they come in, right, on you Mac with FCP, not another computer?

May 18, 2005 at 11:17 amThat’s good. So we’ve checked the permisions, and we’ve checked they unstuffed right. Are we sure they’re going in the right place – from what you said above it sounds like the right place. I guess in that plugins folder you can see the MB and Boris stuff you have installed. The plugins should just appear in the effects tab as normal. We’ve restarted FCP – I’m at a loss to think of what else we can do. Anyone else got any ideas?
