Hi there guys! Here I am for another question…

I rendered my project a few times already in Vegas 12; format mp4. Basically, I’ve been following Vimeo compression guidelines. However a weird thing happens: in the final product I get these random flashes of distorted images (from the film) that are not supposed to be there. For example, during the titles I get a flash of an image that should come like 30 seconds after; at mid film I get a flash of the title…

Further information: this doesn’t happen when rendering in other formats (.avi for instance). Also, the problem never occured before (I perfectly rendered another project yesterday morning; also, I rendered the some project some time ago – just a rough cut – and it was OK). When I re-render, I get different flashes in different moments of the film. I tried to restart Vegas as well as to rebbot the computer, but with no results.

Thank you all for the help!

Did you try disabling the GPU to see if thats what causing the issue?

Thanks, that is definitely the problem. The new output is perfect.

So what should I do? And why that doesn’t happen in other projects?

Either leave GPU off permanently, or turn it off as needed when you have an issue.

Vegas is not 100% bad with GPU, nor is it 100% good. It is somewhere in the middle. Unfortunately that leaves people in limbo with your question. What do I do? No perfect answer.
