I am trying to replicate the Nascar effect where a point of a triangle tracks the position of the car and attaches to a stationary box with video/data. I thought I could do it with masks but I have come to realize the individual points of the mask are not actually keyframed rather the whole mask shape is one unit.
    Any ideas?

You can’t key individual points of mask, but someone has the solution. Not straight, but works. Check it out:

You could also do it by using corner point under the distortion effects. Make your triangle with the corner pin effect and tie the pointy corner of the triangle’s corner pin to your tracker with an expression.
