    Hello!

Aside from the obvious, what is the difference between using ‘Production‘ or ‘Productions‘ in your company name? e.g. ABC Production or ABC Productions

My own understanding goes like this: If it’s a video production company, then ABC Production is okay. If it’s a film, video, photo, and other forms of production company, then it should be ABC Productions. I’d like to hear your thoughts.

    Thank you!

whoever is telling you this information is out of their minds. You can call it anything you like. Just make sure to incorporate in your local state to secure the name.

You might look at it this way: the company that deploys equipment is a production company. A producer does multiple productions. So if the company is there to provide services and infrastructure to support the making of a program, then it’s a production services company, like xyz production group. A company that provides creative services and direction for multiple programs and customers, is QRSTUV productions.
