I have a 90 second DV sequence I’m working on in FCP 5.11 for delivery on the web. I’m using a MacPro.

My problem is a few of these these blue frames withthe word “unrendered” that appear in the exported versions of the video. But not in the canvas. I guess hooking my TV and DV converter back up will let me catch these frames when watching previews (right?) but I still need to know why the frames aren’t rendering.

    I have . . .
    trashed my preferences
rendered everything before export (though not mixed down audio, there’s 4 tracks)
looked for (and not found) track gaps on the main video track either with Shift-G or by eyeballing the timeline with max zoom where the unrendered frames are.

In case it matters, one such unrendered frame is between a clip and a freeze frame clip that follows it. I also had the issue just after a .mov clip orignally exported from livetype and just before the clip that follows it.

    Shane,

    Try the following

select all in the timeline window

IN the Sequence menu under RENDER make sure that all of the types of renders are checked.

Then select either Command R or Option R to render the entire sequence.

If you zoom the timeline into the frames and use the arrow key to advance a frame at a time I am sure you will find those unrendered frames.

    David

    Peace and Love 🙂
