    Hi

I just bought cineform’s HDLink, and I’m having a bad time with it…

I first installed it in Vista, and it would crash all time, so I de-installed Vista, and now I’m in XP 64.

But the program continued crashing, always the same module: cfencoder2.ax or something like that… So I renamed it, and, surprisingly, it seemed to work fine. At least Premiere could capture fine, and HDLink would convert correctly.

But, when I imported some converted into Avi cineform footage, into After Effects, problems came again…

After effects imports the video fine, inside the Source folder, and if I double-click this footage, it will play correctly in its preview.

But when I make a comp and include footage in it, it will render it as black video, and I believe it also invents its length.

I’ve tried restoring CFencoder2.ax, reinstalling, with Cineform encoder on and off inside after effects (it asks me every time I start AE), and always the same… all other file formats I’ve tested work fine, it does also work fine on Premiere…

So, what can teh problem be? I believe it’s a codec or something which works when rendering cineform clips, as the preview correctly in AE’s source window, and the render correctly in Premiere…

Has anyone got a clue??? 🙂
