My render time has doubled for no reason
Hello there! I always render in wmv 1080p with cbr, and before when I rendered a 40-50 min video it would take 8-12 hours (yes I have a slow computer!) but now a 45 min video has taken 25 hours to render…
The only thing I have changed was the ram allocated to sony in properties from default to 500 ( I have 4gb).
Any clues as to why?

You need to double check carefully that the render settings are
the same as when you were getting an 8-12 hours render.Steve Rhoden

Yeah I have those settings in favorites, so that is exactly the same. The only thing that may have changed is putting up the properties tab of ram to sony to 500 and I don’t know how much it affects it but the video has three videos in reality. Theres the main one in 1080p then two small frame videos on the top corner (like windows) in 720p and small. I don’t know the programming steps of sony but maybe thats like rendering 3 movies in one? Maybe thats why… any one?

let me get this straight…you have 3 video tracks with
3 videos positioned differently?
If thats the case, the render time would be much longer
than what you normally get with just one video on a track,
because you are now rendering 3 videos instead.
So if its that, your render time is correct.Steve Rhoden

Ok thanks a lot and sorry for the silly video. Yes its basically a video 1080p and then in the top right corner its a video of me in 720p small size commentating and then finally a even smally SD quality vid of the left corner of the smaller clip.
Ok perfect, I was worried I had messed something up!
