I’ve transfered my v5.5 project from my old Macbook Pro to a new one but it’s not working. I gathered the job files on my old Mac using Collect Files and Copy to New Location in the Project Manager. I then copy this folder thru a network drive to the new Mac desktop. I open it in the same v5.5 now loaded onto the new Mac, but before I can do anything the dreaded Mac spinning rainbow wheel pops up freezing the app. The only way to get control back is to force-quit the program. Premiere seems to be looking for something, but what? The Media Cache and Preview Files came over along with the project files. What am I missing here?!?

    Hi James,
Which version of OS X is on the new MacBook Pro?

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Thanks for the reply. My new Mac is running Mavericks and the old Mac was running whatever came before Mavericks. The Premiere CS 5.5 is the same on both devices.

To be specific, my new Macbook Retina is running OS 10.9.4 while the Mac on which the project was created is running Os 10.6.8
