  • My Project Has Become Very Slow – Is there anything I can do?

    Hi everyone,

I’m creating this template and I’ve constructed a simple editor with Expression Controls (Checkboxes, Color Control).
I have a lot of shapes that appear/dissapear by setting opacity to 0, when the checkbox is unchecked. The problem is,
the composition is so slow now, it’s almost impossible to work with. I guess this is because the layers are still visible,
doesn’t matter if the opacity is 0 or 100 – AE gives them the same amount of resources. When I turn the visibility off on those layers,
    everything is much faster.

Is there anything I can do to speed up the composition, without asking the user to turn a whole bunch of layers off?

    Thanks!

Try setting scale to 0 instead of opacity to see if things speed up.

    Cheers
