My poor memory
I was talking to a friend the other day about the guerrilla production style. I remembered hearing about this concept in a conference on NAB 2004. They guy was showing some guerrilla techniques and talked about a contest of some kind, where kids in New York created amazing documentaries using handy cams edited in home computers.
I know this is very vague, but I wonder if anyone remember what contest was this?

The timing sounds like you MIGHT be referring to the 48 Hour Film Festival.
