    Hello there,

I exported a 3:30 .mov from FCP 7 – it’s the first time I’ve shot a project in 24p – it’s 720 24p – and for some reason it keeps failing when I try to compress the movie for youtube…I’ve tried re-exporting it 3 times from FCP…and I tried to change my “compressor” settings in FCP – to H.264 – and then re-exporting it – but nothing is working…anyone have any experience with something like this?

    Thanks much,

    Donny

What codec are you editing with?

Don’t do that in FC shouldn’t be nothing that smells to H264. Not in the time-line, no the sequence codec.
Try exporting your movie as a QT Prores (no QT conversion) and import that file to Compressor.

So, as I said, export your time-line and make a self contained QT Movie.
then import the movie to Compressor or QT and proceed to make the H264.
