I’m trying to export 3d elements that have to match camera moves and the camera is moving 24 fps. When I try to render from Cinema 4D — when I use 24 as my frame rate the frame numbers don’t match the composite.

I’m trying to do frame accurate destructions and it’s just not working. 30 fps out of c4d seems to work… should I just assume I have to live with that?

    Thanks

Assuming you set 24fps as your frame rate in c4d in the render output and project settings… also check that your compositing software is correctly interpreting the 24fps render. For instance, After effects may need to be told that a 24fps clip is indeed 24, not 30, by going to interpret footage and entering 24fps.

Yeah — my bad… “assuming you’ve set 24 as your frame rate in c4d”

Well — no, I didn’t. In setting up the project I just assumed frames would be frames and never looked for anyplace to make sure I set 24 as my /second choice.

I’m starting over. Will be fun. Lesson learned. (dumb butt).
