Activity Forums Adobe After Effects My footage exports as 4:3 but it’s actually 16:9…what’s wrong?

    yea, i always use the render que.

    these arent exact screenshots, the footage is HD 720/24. what do you mean by stretch it out? i’ve never had to strecth out any of my HD footage before. i’ve always imported it, dragged it onto the composition icon, made my creative adjustments and rendered it out thru the render que and it normally looks the same ratio wise as well as height and width wise.

    yea actually i am using FCP 6 and when i put this video in my capture scratch disk and played it inside FCP it looks fine. i noticed the anamorphic column doesnt allow me to check it like it did in FCP 5.1

    i guess problem solved, but rendering str8 out of AE am i not able to do this? seems like there is something not checked/or is checked that’s making it output this way?

    out of curiosity what is your workflow process when editing video and you need to add some AE effects to it?
